FREE Snikkidy Snack Fries and Dole Smoothie Shakers @ Giant Eagle!

We've got a fabulous deal at Giant Eagle this week on Snikkidy Snacks fries! These are a snack food found in the chip aisle. I haven't tried these yet, but I got my 2 free bags today and they look good. I got the Sea Salt flavor, and I think there's a cheddar flavor as well.

Snikkidy Snacks baked snack fries: Buy One Get One Free = $1.49 each
These are $2.98 regularly, but since they're Buy One Get One Free, they'll each ring up $1.49.
Purchase up to 2 with this coupon: $.75 off 1 Snikkidy Snacks coupon
= FREE!
The coupon will double up to $1.50, which is the cost of 1. When GE has a BOGO free deal, the item rings up as half off. So these will ring up $1.49, and the coupon will make them free!

Also this week at Giant Eagle, Dole Smoothie Shakers are free!
Dole Smoothie Shakers, Buy One Get One Free = $1 each
These are $2 regularly, but are currently Buy One Get One free, so they will ring up as $1 each.
Coupons available: $0.75 off Any ONE (1) DOLE Shakers  (This coupon will double to the price of the item, which is $1)
Or this coupon: $1/1 Dole Shakers Coupon!   (watch video)

= FREE!
Keep in mind, you can only use 2 "like" printables at Giant Eagle. However, since these are for 2 different amounts, you should be able to use 2 of each in one transaction at GE!

By doing just these deals above, you can get $13.98 worth of products for free! Purchase 4 Dole Smoothie Shakers and 2 Snikkidy Snacks!

If you're using (3) .40/6 (2 printables max) = $10 - $.8 x 3 = $7.60 - $2 off your next trip = $5.60 = .28 each!

Week of 8/3: Best Deals!

Disclaimer: This post is a work in progress. I'll be adding to it as I find the best deals for this week!

Hi everyone! Sorry this post is coming on a Monday, but I was pretty busy spending time with my family in Pittsburgh this weekend. I got to see both my mom and dad's side of the family, which is always nice. :) So if any of my aunts, uncles, siblings or cousins are reading this -- I loved spending time with you all!

It's always nice to see my mom, dad, and siblings, too, even if it's just for a short time. We always have so much fun together. My sister and youngest brother are couponers in training! We took some of my mom's coupons to Giant Eagle on Sunday morning and got some great deals. I used the two of them to my advantage. I had 5 of the Chicken of the Sea Tuna coupons (you can only use 2 like printables per shopping trip), so each of us grabbed some of the tuna and we rang up separately. We were able to get 15 cans for $1.35 total!

Now, onto the great deals for this week!

My Giant Eagle Trip: Week of 7/31

Hi everyone! I completed my main Giant Eagle shopping trip this week. Unfortunately, my store has been out of the Chicken of the Sea tuna (see the deal HERE!), so I grabbed a raincheck and I'll have to go back for that.

I knew this was going to be a big trip, and I had kind of planned it out pretty well in advance. I ordered all of my coupons from Bargain Coupon Clippers and Coupon DeDe. I trust both of these sites and have used them often for ordering coupons. I like BCC because they automatically give you 20 of each coupon for a very low price (sometimes $1 for 20 coupons), and I love Coupon Dede because you can buy coupons individually. So if I know I really only need 2 or 3 of a coupon that didn't come in my newspaper, I'll order a bunch at a time, but only 2-3 of each. Hopefully this helps anyone getting started.

I find that for me, it is easier to buy 2-3 Sunday papers, and order the rest of my coupons online. I preview the ad on Monday or Tuesday via the Giant Eagle Couponers Facebook group (someone always has it and will post it early), and then I order my coupons as soon as I know what I want. That way, they're in by Friday and I can do my shopping.

Okay, now for the good stuff...
For all of these deals, please see the post I wrote about this week's Giant Eagle deals. This should also link you to the coupons, if they were printable!

Transaction #1
I have challenged myself to take $20 each month, and see what I can get out of it. I'm going to try to maximize my money as best as I can. I will then take all of those products at the end of the month, and donate them! Oftentimes I find myself giving financially, which is always good, but I feel like I may as well use my fun hobby to see how much I can get! Especially because I don't use everything I have coupons for. For example, the Suave shampoo you'll see in the photo. I don't prefer Suave, and I have about a million other shampoos at home, but with the coupons, it was completely free. Hopefully those who receive it will love it!

Transaction #2
This was a transaction of things for my home and my family. This was seriously a bunch of random things! I had a bunch of yellow Giant Eagle coupons that were about to expire. Yellow Giant Eagle coupons are coupons that come in the mail, specifically for your household. Some people think it is linked to what you have purchased with your advantage card, and who they're given to is totally random. I have received them 3 times. Twice in the winter, and once now. They can usually be stacked with a manufacturer coupon, but it is up to your store - some will take it, some will not. My store will take a Giant Eagle store coupon and a manufacturer coupon.

Out of pocket after sales and coupons, $6.67
After fuel perks, Ibotta, and Savingstar, $2.53
Total Savings: 94%

Other Transactions Included in the Photo:
I also went to my local grocery store, Tops, for the first time yesterday. They have awesome deals, and a gas promotion similar to Fuel Perks. For every 50 points you get, thats $.10 off in gas. You can gain 1 point for every dollar spent, and 10 points for every coupon you use (up to 10 in one transaction).

I purchased...

Transaction #1

Transaction #2
Clif Mojo Bars, $1 (Regular price $1.50 each)
Purchased 4
Used (4) .50/1 Clif Mojo Bars (this is from an insert awhile ago)
= FREE!

Gas Points Received: 40 from coupons, 4 from the $4 pre-coupon total.

Totals
Before sales and coupons, $21.12
Out of pocket after sales and coupons, $1.20
After Gas Points, -$3.30
Total Savings: 116%

(Tops Gas Points Calculation:
156 points -> 50 points is .10 off per gallon, so I have 30 points x 15 gallons = $4.50 in Gas Points savings)

So in conclusion, I made $3.30 to shop at Tops yesterday. Yay! :)

Yesterday's Total Spending:
Giant Eagle: $7.50 for $129.86 worth of items
Tops: -$3.30 for $21.12 worth of items
= $4.20 for $151 worth of items = 97% savings!

Last Chance Deal! Cheap St. Ives and Simple Products @ CVS!

Today is the last day for this deal, so my apologies. I LOVE, love, love St. Ives and Simple products. Thankfully last weekend, there was a Red Plum insert coupon for both! And it was the best kind of coupon .. a buy one, get one free coupon! (The Simple coupon states Buy the moisturizer, get the facial wipes for free!)

This week at CVS, when you buy $15 worth (pre-coupon) of Simple, St. Ives, Noxzema, or select Dove body wash, deodorant, or bar soap, you'll get $5 back in Extra Bucks. Also, these items are ALL buy one, get one half off!

My note: If you have never tried the Simple moisturizer, it is awesome! A lot of times I find that moisturizer with a ton of junky ingredients burn my skin. This one does not. It leaves my face feeling so smooth! And I also love the face wipes. I use them at night to take off my makeup. They never burn my eyes.

Here's how I did this deal this week:
Buy (4) St. Ives Spray & Go lotion, $7.99 each, BOGO 50% off = $23.97
Use: (2) Buy 1 Get 1 Free St Ives Spray & Go lotion, from 7/13 RP, takes off $7.99 for each = - $15.98
Out of Pocket: $23.97 - $15.98 = $7.99 plus tax
Get back $5 Extra Bucks = About $3 TOTAL for all 4 lotions! Thats like paying for half of ONE!

Another deal idea, for those of you with only 1 Red Plum insert!
Buy (2) St Ives Spray & Go Lotion, $7.99 each, BOGO 50% off = $11.98
Buy (1) Simple Moisturizer, $7.99, and one Simple Cleansing Wipes (will be 50% off with sale, regular price is $6.49), $3.25
Total pre-coupon = $23.22
Use: (1) Buy 1 Get 1 Free St. Ives Spray & Go Lotion, from 7/13 RP
(1) Buy Simple Moisturizer, Get Simple Wipes Free coupon, from 7/13 RP
Out of Pocket = $23.22 - $7.99 (lotion coupon) - $6.49 (wipes coupon) = $8.74
Get back $5 Extra Bucks = $3.74 plus tax for all 4 items! Less than $1 each!

Mix and match these items any way that suits you, depending on your preferences and what coupons you have! You can also use coupons for the Dove body wash, deodorant, or soap that came in the 7/13 Red Plum insert. However, I feel as if the BOGO coupons are of the best value.

CVS TIP:
While it may seem like a lot "out of pocket," if you continuously shop at CVS, you may not have to pay anything out of pocket. It's called "rolling" extra bucks. I try to use only the amount of Extra Bucks I will be getting back on the transaction when purchasing my items. So for this transaction, I had $5 extra bucks from a prior purchase. I used this to take my  total of $8.04 down to $3.04. I then paid $3.04 in cash and got back $5 in Extra Bucks. This way, I'm not accumulating a ton of Extra Bucks (they do expire), but instead I am continuously rolling them and getting new ones. Hope this helps!

Giant Eagle: Week of 7/27 - Bonus Fuel Perks Deals!

Here is another easy deal that I love. This is a deal that will earn you Fuel Perks! Combine the great sale prices with fuel perks and coupons for even more savings.

Remember, Giant Eagle fuel perks can be redeemed with only one vehicle, but you can bring gas cans to get up to 30 gallons. If you get .15 in Fuel Perks, that's $2.25 off of your total bill if you have 15 gallons, and $4.50 if you have 30 gallons.

This week at Giant Eagle, buy 4 select products and receive .15 in Fuel Perks. Even if you don't have coupons - this is still a pretty good deal.

For a full matchup of this deal, please see Ladysavings' blog!

Here are the products included:
Fiber One Streusel Bars ($2.50 each)
Fiber One Bars, 90 Calorie Products, and Protein Bars ($3 each)
Nature Valley Breakfast Biscuits ($2.50 each)

Deal Ideas!
To make a scenario that works for you, pair any 4 products with matching coupons. Add up the price per item, subtract off the coupons and any other offers, then subtract off the amount for fuel perks (.15 x the number of gallons you'll purchase), and you have your total!

Fiber One Streusel Bars
Purchase: 4 Fiber One Streusel Bars, $10
Use: (4) .75/1 Fiber One Streusel Bars from 7/13 SS
Savingstar Deposit: .50
Ibotta Deposit: .75
Total = $4 - $.50 Savingstar - .75 Ibotta = $2.75, less any fuel perks savings! Even without Ibotta or Savingstar, you're getting them for cheap! $4 - $2.25 = $1.75 for 4 boxes, including .15 fuel perks for 15 gallons, OR a .50 MONEYMAKER if you're buying 30 gallons!

If you have access to a printer..
Purchase: 4 Fiber One Streusel Bars, $10
Use: (2) .60/1 Fiber One Streusel coupons, .60 x 2 = $1.20 x 2 coupons = $2.40
(2) .50/1 Fiber One Streusel coupons, .50 x 2 = $1 x 2 coupons = $2
Total = $10 - $4.40 in coupons = $5.60
After 15 gallons fuel perks = $3.35 for 4
After 30 gallons fuel perks = $1.10 for 4
Plus any Ibotta or Savingstar rebates!

Fruit Snacks! 4 for $8
Purchase: 4 General Mills fruit snacks, $8
Use: (2) .60/2 Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks, .60 off 2, doubles to $1.20, x 2 = $2.40
Total = $8 - $2.40 in coupons = $5.60
After 15 gallons in fuel perks = $3.35 for 4
After 30 gallons in fuel perks = $1.10 for 4
(Or, use the .50/2 coupons from the Smart Source insert coming Sunday!)

As you can see, there are many ways you can do this deal! For every 4 you purchase in one transaction, the register will add the fuel perks to your account. As far as I know, there is not a limit to the number of fuel perks you can accumulate from this deal!
